Why should I book my appointment at SALON abe?

At SALON abe, we do things differently. A modern, intentional salon experience designed for both the client and the hairstylist. Located in the heart of 50th and France, in Edina, Minnesota. We specialize in modern haircuts, hair extensions and lived in color that keep you looking effortlessly chic. Every appointment is designed with care from the consultation to the blowout. You will leave feeling like the best version of yourself (and knowing how to maintain it).

How do I know what service I should book?

We wrote our service menu in a particular way so it is easier to understand and you can decide which service best fits what you’re looking for.

Do I need a consultation if I’m a new client at SALON abe?

Consultations are always at the beginning of every appointment. If you have sensitivities to color, questions about price, or have REALLY long/thick hair we recommend booking a consultation in addition to your appointment. It allows us additional time so nothing is rushed.

If done without an appointment your stylist may not be able to take you afterwards

What color line do you use?

The color line we use is a premium, salon-exclusive hair color line featuring innovative exothermic technology that maximizes dye penetration while keeping hair healthy, shiny, and vibrant! This ammonia-free, PPD-free, and vegan-friendly color formula delivers 100% grey coverage and long-lasting, high-shine results that are gentle on the hair and scalp. Our color is an ammonia-free hair color line that uses innovative exothermic technology to gently open the hair cuticle for maximum penetration. It delivers long-lasting, vibrant, and shiny results while offering 100% white hair coverage.

What is a patch test? Why would I need one?

A patch test is where our color is applied behind the ear 24 hours before an appointment to see if any reactions or sensitivities occur.

Why hasn’t my appointment been accepted?

All appointments are considered ‘pending’ until accepted, you will receive a notification. If you have questions about your ‘pending’ appointment call or text us 6129683499 or email us at hello@salonabe.com. We will get back to you within 1-2 business days.

What does “hair model” mean?

“Hair Model” appointments do not involve runway or promotional modeling. You are volunteering to receive hair services at a discounted price for the purpose of supporting the professional growth, technical development, and continued education of SALON abe’s next generation of hairstylists. New Talent stylists may have less than three years of professional experience behind the chair, this is not always the case. All participating stylists are properly licensed and have completed accredited cosmetology training in accordance with state requirements. Significant lightening, corrective color, tone adjustments, vivid colors, major transformations, or complex chemical services — may require multiple appointments to safely and responsibly reach the desired result. Results are not guaranteed in a single visit, and service plans may be adjusted based on the condition, integrity, and history of the hair. The number of sessions required will be exercised in the interest of maintaining the health and integrity of the hair, always.

How will I know when my appointment is?

A text and/or email is sent when your appointment is booked.
A confirmation is sent seven days before your upcoming appointment with a reminder 48 hours beforehand.

Please understand it is your responsibility to reschedule or cancel any appointments.

What is abe’s cancelation policy?

To avoid a cancellation/rescheduling fee, notify us as early as you can. We understand schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully ask for 24 hours notice, at a minimum, to modify appointments (and avoid late change fees).

Less than 24 hour notice to cancel will result in a fee equal to 50% of the reserved service block

Less than 24 hour notice to reschedule will result in a re-booking fee up to 50% of service

A non-refundable deposit, up to $100, may be required before appointment is accepted by SALON abe

NO SHOWS will be charged a fee of 100% of the reserved appointment time. (It is non-refundable and does not go towards future appointments)

THIS CANCELLATION POLICY ALLOWS TIME TO INFORM WAITLIST GUESTS OF AN AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT AND BETTER SERVES EVERYONE!

What if SALON abe cancels my appointment?

We hope our stylists never have to cancel your appointment. We do our best to give you the same respect of 24 hours notice, to reschedule your appointment. If the cancellation is due to situations such as: power outages, extreme weather conditions, bereavement, pandemics, or unfortunate incidence, etc… or requires SALON abe to be closed during regular business hours your appointment will be rescheduled in a timely manner.

Situations that are out of our control, and can’t be reschedule in a timely manner, you will receive a small discount as a sincere apology.
