REESE
@YOURMANECONTACT
Let’s be honest, the shampoo? That's the best part, right? zZzZz... Reese has a vision for trends, is relatable, knowledgeable and comfortable suggesting the cut or color you didn’t know your hair needs and will always curl your hair! Initially trained at Josef’s School of Hair Design in Fargo, ND; she made a big move to Dallas, TX to work for TONI & GUY. Early on she learned hair appointments are more than just a cut or color, it’s an experience. Reese has been in the industry since 2007 and after moving back to Minnesota she didn’t realize it at the time, but her journey to entrepreneurship was in progress.
SALON abe was created: using years of experience, keeping up-to-date with styles and being fashion-forward with her own appearance. In Reese’s chair you will feel at ease and look effortlessly chic.
Why did you become a hairstylist?
I didn’t know I wanted to be a hairstylist. Growing up I wanted to be a fashion designer. My sister told me to go to Cosmetology school while I decided where to go to school. Turns out, hair is my ‘fashion’ and empowering everyone in my chair to feel beautiful or confident in their appearance is what has kept adding fuel to my fire. Now I get to share that with everyone at SALON abe.

Why did you want to become a hairstylist?
“I went to Aveda Institute because I love the art of transformation and wellness. I expected to do makeup as my career, but I grew confident as a hairstylist, and now I love making people excited about their appearance after they leave my chair.”
Erin
@bangtrim_
Almost two years ago Erin packed up and moved from Wisconsin to attend Aveda Institute Minneapolis where she had the pleasure of learning all things hair from some of the coolest instructors, stylists, and clients. She is passionate about finding and creating a style that is unique to each person! She cuts a precise bob, #lob (long bob) or French bob and considers herself a “Bang Enthusiast” because everyone should have fringe (bangs) #bangsarelife
When Erin is not in the salon, she is most likely crocheting, reading, or getting inspiration on anything creative, and spends a lot of time in record stores looking for Beatles or Stones vinyl (you can like both) along with any 60s/70s rock. Her cat, George, loves to play with her yarn and sit on the record player!
Why did you become a hairstylist?
“Growing up I always enjoyed doing friend’s and family’s hair. I have a passion for art, and I love making others feel their best!! I’m so thankful that I get to do that as my career!”
Joanie
@stylebyjoanie
Say hello to Joanie! A new stylist to abe, but not to the industry!
Joanie is your go-to-girl for all things glam! She moved to California at the young age of 20 to pursue her dreams of hair. After graduating Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, she moved to Los Angeles jumping head first into “all things hair” in and out of the salon for: weddings, photoshoots, movie sets, tv, and more! After 10 years on the west coast, she was relocated to New York City and became a district training manager for the Drybar brand. While there she worked for Madison Reed, a color line, and in 2020 she stepped heavily into weddings; doing hair and makeup for Brides and their entourage all across the U.S.
Joanie loves the art and science of creating specialty colors; from hand painted balayage, formulating the perfect shade you didn’t know you were looking for, to onsite makeup for weddings and haircuts or styles for date nights. She has a unique and forward-thinking approach for coloring and styling and brings a little Hollywood + Big City magic with everything she does✨
Why did you become a hairstylist?
As long as I can remember I wanted to be a hairstylist. My mom taught me how to French braid in third grade, and since I’ve wanted to become a hairstylist; I love everything about helping people look and feel beautiful!
